Zaner and Uncle Willie are Reunited!

Hey Zaner Fans! I'm back. The trip home from Austin was fraught with challenges (the South terminal is NOT at the main airport FYI...it's a 20-minute drive in the middle of nowhere) and then I was sunk in work upon my return to Florida.
But we need to catch up, don't we? I didn't mean to keep you all dangling on the Memorial Celebration for Zane held at Willie's Nelson's Luck Ranch. So, let's do that now, shall we?
On Willie's ranch, he has a LUCK sign up on a hill, much like the HOLLYWOOD sign in Los Angeles (albeit much smaller). That is the spot we reunited Zane with his "Uncle Willie." Remember the story I told at Zane's Celebration of Life of the time when I learned he thought Willie Nelson was his uncle? If you haven't seen or heard that story, I'll put a snippet here. I was gifted a small jar of what once contained Willie's Reserve medical marijuana (since cleaned) and that's what I brought to Austin with Zane's ashes in. Seemed only fitting, right? I brought along a couple of the framed photos I have in the house of Zane with "Uncle Willie."
This was just a private memorial, but now Zane is also in Luck, Texas with the beloved Nelson Family. Later in the evening, we were LUCKY (see what I did there?) enough to bear witness to a very emotional family performance with Willie and his two sons, Lukas and Micah.
What a day we all had. It was also St. Paddy's, so the LUCK of the Irish was with us! Thanks for the ride, Zaner! #CloudSkaterZane #UncleWillie #ZaneInTheClouds
